Anthony Flagg - Age 18- Portsmouth, NH

“If you’re having a bad day, lift it out.”

Anthony’s story starts in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the same streets and fields where he grew up, and where his competitive drive first began to take shape. He’s 18 now, but his relationship with fitness began years earlier, in 7th grade. Back then, the gym was just another place to be, a space to try things out, to explore without expectation. He didn’t walk in with a perfect plan or an obsession with progress.

At first, it was casual. He went through the motions, not yet realizing what those early reps would build: the foundation for a mindset, a discipline, and a standard that would one day define him.

Anthony’s athletic background is just as varied. He’s played soccer, basketball, wrestling, lacrosse, but football became his true sport. On the field, he learned teamwork and grit. In the gym, he learned something different: how to rely on himself.

“You put in the work, you trust the process, and the results speak for themselves.”

That’s what “Prove it. It works.” means to Anthony. It’s not just words on a bottle or a brand motto, it’s a lived truth. It’s the result of nights when his friends were done for the day, but he was still lacing up his shoes to train. It’s showing up on the days when motivation is low but the standard is non-negotiable.

His training split is brutal and intentional:

  • Push Days (Chest, Shoulders, Triceps)- Monday & Thursday
  • Pull Days (Back, Biceps) - Tuesday & Friday
  • Athletic Leg Day - Wednesday
  • Bodybuilding Leg Day - Saturday (or sometimes Sunday)

He doesn’t skip, ever. If life gets in the way, he finds a way around it. Sometimes that means training late at night when most people are winding down.

And the results speak loud:

  • Squat: 435 lbs
  • Bench: 295 lbs

These numbers aren’t just impressive,  they’re built entirely on years of consistent effort, no shortcuts, and no secret formula. Just work.

Still, for Anthony, it’s never been only about the stats. What keeps him coming back is the progress, the way his body and strength have evolved, and the mental resilience that comes with it. He’s learned to push through soreness, push past plateaus, and find pride in every extra rep. Each workout is another step toward the future he envisions for himself: serving in the military, where discipline is everything.

“When I have a tough day, that actually motivates me more to go. I want to get all my stress or anger out in the gym lifting heavy weights.”

There’s a rumor among friends, they joke that his transformation must be from steroids. The truth? Not even close. Anthony’s progress comes from the kind of commitment most people never see: the long weeks, the steady eating, the discipline to show up no matter how he feels.

He’s the first to admit he’s still learning. If he could give his younger self advice, it would be simple: do cardio, because conditioning matters as much as strength.

BEFORE & AFTER

Outside the gym, Anthony’s life is still built around balance. He’s got school, football, friends, but fitness always fits in. Steak and pasta fuel his recovery, music with heavy beats or screaming vocals fuels his lifts. He’s ambidextrous, he laughs easily, and he values his time with the people closest to him.

In five years, he pictures himself wearing a military uniform, carrying the same principles he’s built rep by rep: show up, push through, and never quit.

His hope is simple but powerful, to inspire others who might be struggling or doubting themselves. Because if there’s one thing he’s learned, it’s that you can’t control how every day goes, but you can always control whether you show up.

“I want people to know, if you’re having a bad day, lift it out. That’s where you take your power back.”

For Anthony, the weight room is more than a place to train, it’s where he proves to himself, day after day, that he can push further than he thought possible.

Every rep is a reminder that he’s building more than muscle, he’s building discipline, resilience, and the mindset to take on whatever life throws at him.

No matter where the road leads next, one thing is certain: Anthony will keep showing up, chasing progress, and proving that the work is always worth it.
